Buenos dias! Como estan todos?
I'm doing good, just doin' what I can here in Perú, good Ol' South America. It's been a good week. We're just keeping busy and trying to help the people we have with a baptism date keep progressing and keep moving forward with their testimony. We are praying for a miracle that we will be able to help these four beautiful children of God come unto Christ and make sacred covenants with God. Please pray for them! (Nicole and Scarlet Dominguez, Patrik Robles, Fernando Gavilan, y Manuel Castillo). They have my whole heart.
Well, I only have one picture from this week. Sorry. That's a little sad. But it's a pretty solid picture. Aqui tenemos pimiento, tomate, y rocoto. Or bell pepper, tomato, and some kind of chili pepper. That's all. My companion bought rocoto instead of bell pepper, so our homemade empanadas were a little spicy, but it's fine, they were yummy.
That's the most un-interesting story ever, sorry.
As we were calling Patrik's cousin, Tamara, who is also 9 years old, to invite her to church, she told us she couldn't make it. We asked her why and she said it's because her aunt had just left her house and left her in charge of her cat...HA HA. She said, "Es que justo mi tia salió y tengo que cuidar a su gato, no podrė hermanas. Seria para la proxima." Ha ha, we died laughing. (It's because my aunt just left and I have to take care of her cat...I can't, sisters. I'll come next time.") She's so cute. I'm not even mad she didn't come, ha ha, because her excuse was so cute.
Well, I'm doing good. Super great, in fact. The time is still soaring by and I can't believe it's Monday again and that July is half-way over. I'm just trying to enjoy every moment and take advantage of the life I've got over here with a nametag! It's so different but I love it!
Please read Alma 37:37 in the Book of Mormon for a good daily reminder.
" aCounsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for bgood; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the cmorning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day."
God loves you!
Have a great week,
Love, Hermana Lowe
