Put your trust in Him

Hello friends and family!

I miss you all dearly, but honestly, I'm loving it out here.  I would kind of like a 2-year mission like the elders por favor...

But really, I love the mission.  I wouldn't trade the time that I have spend here for anything.  Anything. Honestly, I struggled a lot at first, but these were just tests of my faith.  I learned how to confide in no one else but God.  I know that He has given me strength and has heard my prayers.  I know that He is my Heavenly Father and that He loves me, and He loves you.  A theme that I saw in this year's General Conference was "Put your trust in Him".  Many speakers touched this topic and gave different counsels.  In one such talk, a sister shared this line, "your struggles do not define you, but they do refine you." This hit me hard as I remembered the struggles that I have had in my life, both before and on the mission.  Today, looking back on those struggles, they have given me experience and have shaped who I am. They have refined me to be a stronger person emotionally, have more compassion toward others, and be a more faithful follower of Jesus Christ.  I have more faith in God's acting power and a deeper understanding of the purpose that He has for each one of His children here on earth.  I have seen miracles and I know He loves us.

Let's just say that conference helped me a lot and gave me more motivation to continue on!

Mi hijita (my new companion/daughter) is the BEST.  We get along really well, can joke about things that I couldn't with my past companions (bc she's also from the US), and she has such a strong motivation to work hard and learn everything she needs to!  She's awesome and I love her.  WE LOVE THE MISSION♥️ #MPLS4ever

I hope you all have una semana maravillos!  Dios les ama y siempre les cuida!  Se que esta es la iglesia verdadera.  Se que Dios contesta oraciones, a veces en maneras en que nunca hemos pensado, pero las contesta!

Les quiero mucho!  Hasta el proximo Lunes. 😀
