Well, I'm officially a mother. That is, I'm officially training a brand new missionary. I was so nervous these past couple of days after getting notified that I'd be trainig. I'm still nervous... it's kind of a lot of pressure because she's gonna follow my example in everything that I do. But I'm also really excited. My daughter is Hermana Lundgreen from Oregon! A GRINGA! My first companion that's not a latina (or filipina). So this is gonna be weird. I'll let you know how it goes.
This past week with Hermana Orellana was fun--we laughed a lot and worked really hard. I tried to learn everything about the area and the people from her before she left because with my new companion, I would be leading the area. Hermana Orellana got transferred to Ayacucho! In the same area where I was at the beginning of my mission. ♥️ So that was good news. I sent her with letters to give to some of my favorite people up there. She was sad to go, but also excited for the new adventure.
On another note, General Conference is this weekend! You guys don't even have the slightest idea of how excited I am. For those who are unfamiliar with the term General Conference, it's when the prophet of the Church and his 12 apostles (and other general leaders of the church) come together twice a year to instruct us, give us counsel, and announce important things going on in the church. There are 5 different sessions in each conference. I love it because I always feel like almost all of the talks are written for me and I can always learn something new. I truly feel my worth as a daughter of God and His love for me. I hope you can all tune in this weekend to receive answers to your questions and feel at peace.
