Hermana Brittany Lowe : Queens of Spanglish

Hola Familia y Amigos!

We are already more than half-way through May! What the que? En que momento....

This week flew by so fast. We visited people, taught them the wonderful gospel of our Savior Jesus Christ and invited them to come unto Christ through being baptized. I'm learning more and more everyday how to rely completely on God to understand and on the Holy Ghost to know, or rather, to feel, what to say to touch these people's hearts. I am always nervous before talking to a stranger on the street, or starting a lesson with someone who's never heard of our church but it always ends well when we have the Spirit guiding us. I truly know that I am merely an instrument in God's hands, and that He is the real teacher. So cool. I'm so humbled and happy to have this opportunity to serve my Father in Heaven. I know a year and 1/2 is nothing to repay Him for all He's done for me.

This Saturday we finally moved into our new apartment! It's bigger and nicer and on the first floor! and the best part is that we actually live in our area, woohoo! No more spending so much money on mototaxis to just get to our area (we still have to take a lot of mototaxis but at least we start in our area now). The Elders and Hermanas helped us move and a member let us use his truck to move and everything went smoothly. We're happy and relieved.

Yesterday was my sweet sister's birthday ♥️ (Bailey) so I got to talk to her and my fam so I'm happy about that, too. LOVE YOU, BAY ❤️❤️

This week, my companion and I have been queens of Spanglish sentences, sin guerer. Here are some examples: "He se fue" (Él se fue/He left), "My libro fell" (Mi libro se cayó/My book fell), "Estoy taking the photo" (Estoy tomando la foto/I'm taking the picture), "Where did you conseguir that?" (Where did you get a hold of that?/Dónde conseguió eso?) Etc, etc, ha ha. We're struggling here, lol.
