This week´s lema: ESTAMOS BIEN
We were sick all week, both me and my companion. We have the flu mildly, but enough to be annoying, and have been sick from other things as well. I woke up at 4 and 5am two different days being sick to my stomach from the food we ate the nights before... long story short it's gross and we now know to avoid this one ex-pensionistas food haha. An FYI... Inca Cola is my life saver and it's now my new favorite drink on the planet. (besides milk obviously) My comp told me to drink a liter of Inca Cola to detox my body from the gross food and it worked! I was better by the afternoon both days and recovered fine. So while I'm sick in the mornings, my comp gets bad headaches in the noches so basically we're a hot mess while proselyting pero ESTAMOS BIEN. haha Every time we would want to complain, we just say ME SIENTO BIEN and keep on walking. We've said a lot of prayers for strength this week, haha.
YOU GUYS I just want to take a second to say how I have the best mom in the world. She sent me a big ol' package for Christmas and Thanksgiving. I have PB and nutella for days and US candy and a cute calendar and so much more. Also my apartment looks super cute with Thanksgiving decor, ahora. I JUST LOVE HER SO MUCH!
ALSO this week I am so excited because we are going to Lima Wednesday and Thursday for interviews with our mission president, a temple trip (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and a meeting with Elder Falabella! The area authority over some part of Sudamerica. ALSO ON SATURDAY WE HAVE OUR FIRST BAPTISM!!!! His name is Joel and he is the BEST: He's a 19-year-old kid who has so many questions and is such a sensitive and sweet person. I am so excited for him to make this important covenant with his Heavenly Father and be blessed by living the gospel the rest of his life! You guys, seriously I am so pumped.
This week was also the start of a many new lives! Celia, in our ward, had her baby! SO CUTE. WE went to visit her a couple times and saw her 3-day-old baby like R U kidding? I was in heaven. I couldn't hold him though :( also our dog, Pato/Pata had two baby puppies! SO tiny and so adorable. So basically I'm living the dream here surrounded by babies. Life is good.
On another note, a lot of people have commented on my acne which is no fun, but also some people reallllly want to help me get rid of it and I'm up to try anything that wont hurt me, haha, so this week I am trying a natural concoction mask thing everyday for 30 minutes. Its name is in Quetchua which I can't remember but lets hope and pray it works, hahaha. An investigator's brother sells it (he's like 70 years old) so I couldn't say no, haha. Wish me luck.
Thank you everyone for your support. I would love to hear an update on your lives and see some pictures! Don't want to miss out on everything while here in Peru, haha. Love you all!
