Buenas!! Well, this week was crazy. We had an activity every morning this week and kept super busy.
On Tuesday, we had district meeting, on Wednesday we woke up at the crack of dawn to go to the temple (!!!), had interviews with President on Thursday, intercambios Thursday and Friday, an activity w/the missionaries on Saturday, and (obvio) church on Sunday. So this week flew by.
I have 2 cool experiences to share...one in a taxi on the way to the temple. My comp and I were in the car with 2 elders and were getting to know and chatting with the driver, when we started sharing with him the message of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a brief version. Well, Elder Hegstrom and I did. We're both training gringos, so our comps just kinda listened and tried to follow along as we taught. It was cool. My first time teaching a lesson with an elder, ha ha. The cool thing is though that the taxi driver wasn't that interested and he kept giving long answers to our questions and cutting us off. But when we started mentioning the Book of Mormon or Joseph Smith, he was really interested and said he was curious to know more! It was so cool how the spirit changed him from being almost defensive to interested in more.
The other experience was when we were getting off a combi at the stop by our apartment after intercambios, with our Books of Mormon in our hands. A random guy stopped up and asked what the Book of Mormon was. Out of nowhere. Lemme tell you, nobody stops US to ask about the Book of Mormon, usually we do that part. So it was cool. We got his name and number and passed them to the missionaries that are assigned to where he lives.
Well, anyway, I love the work. I love God and I love being a missionary! I love you all!
